It is cold today and a winter storm is supposed to hit us tonight. We already had plenty of milk and bread. (Grin)
I have started the sleeve of my Ingeborg and am having all kinds of trouble with it. Knitting the body of the sweater was nothing compared to the sleeve. It is just me. I miscalculate where I am and it is necessary to keep that in mind all the time. This start looks pretty good and I am hoping to get it going now without further trouble.

O.K. Obviously the previous picture was not the one I wanted. The mittens were for the mittenskal for Nov./Dec. These are the pictures of two of my favorite things. My dog Riley and my spinning wheel.
Riley stays right there when I am spinning and he has a bed right by my chair when I am knitting. He is very protective of me but he loves other people too, especially his vet. These little plastic squeaze toys are his favorite things and he almost always has one with him.
My spinning wheel is a Kromski and I love spinning. I do not worry about things like ratios and etc. I just spin for the fun of it. I just made a 2 ply light pink merino yarn that I am using for a shawl from Victorian Lace Today by Jane Sowerby. I just finished the body of Ingeborg by Dale of Norway and will post a picture of that soon.

Body of Ingeborg finished
My Dale of Norway Ingeborg body is finished.
I thought it would be really difficult but it was not and I enjoyed knitting it. The only hard part was when I cast off at the neck and had to begin pearling back. I had to take out 4 rows and do them over but now it is fine. The pattern is centered and I am very happy with it. I cast on for the first sleeve today and will knit a few rows tonight.
It is rather cold here in north Georgia and I am so glad.

I am still trying to post a picture. I did get it labeled. Flowering quince. But where is the picture?
I am almost finished the body of my Dale KAL. Just a few more difficult rows. After casting off for the back you just have to keep up with where you are in the pattern. Of course that is the case all along with this kind of sweater.

Today we had the dog's teeth cleaned. Something I never thought I would do. But when I took him to have his annual check up last week the vet discovered that his gums were infected to the point of draining pus and recommended cleaning. It looked so painful that I was happy to have it done. He is a good dog, a blonde Cocker Spaniel and deserves good care. He is home now and feeling fine.
Not much knitting today but maybe this evening I will sit down for awhile to Ingeborg.

I still do not know how to post my picture.
It was a dark and gloomy day (Grin), rain and cold all day. Good excuse to stay inside. I filed some old letters from family history, some written in 1888, all letters froom my grandmother's family. And found some poems written by my grandmother when I was a baby, full of love and hope. How wonderful to find such treasures.
Worked on my Dale of Norway sweater. Only a few more rows to go and the body of the sweater will be finished. It is Ingeborg, which I have loved since I first saw the pattern. I have never done an intricate pattern like this and am learning a lot of new things. Like steeks. Well, I shall take EZ's advice and lie down for awhile after cutting.

Park Here
Park here is about knitting, spinning, my dog , the weather, and whatever.
I will post a picture of the Dale sweater I am working on as soon as I figure out how to do it.
Georgia has not gotten any bad weather yet. A little cold but no ice or snow.
