These are my February socks for the 6 month knit a long. Grumperina's Jaywalkers made of Opal Rain Forest Flamingo. They have not been washed yet.

Not much knittiing in the past few days. or anything else for that matter. Both DH and I got sick two days after we got home from our visit to N.C. Right now I feel like a fat green frog on a lily pad without the energy to catch a fly.

I need to feel better. I have so many things I want to do. Whine.

We just got back from a trip to North Carolina to visit family. I went to two yarn stores. Great Yarns in Raleigh where I bought some Cascade 220 for a class at the John C.Campbell Folk School and I bought the Berroco pattern book using Bonsai yarn. They had a sweater made of that yarn on display and it was gorgeous. But I did not buy the yarn since I have so many other prjoects already started. Maybe when I finish something I will buy some Bonsai. The other yarn store was in Cary and I just bought 3 old Dale of Norway books. I really like their patterns.

It was great to visit family. Hi Jud, Stephanie, Jacob, Charlie Grace, Jonathan, Kristin and Andrew. One family lives in busy. bustling, crowded Raleigh. The other in rural Middlesex in the country where it is quiet, beautiful and you can see the stars in the sky at night.

Today the Northwest Georgia Knitters had our February meeting. There were 6 of us to knit, chat, have lunch, and spend the day talking about knitting or anything else we wanted to. Nacole was working on a hat, April made a soaker for her new baby, Reba, Betsey, Paula and I were working on socks. Betsey did not like hers and ripped it out. Paula's didn't fit and she ripped hers out. DH brought my glasses to me because I forgot them and could not knit very well without them.

Now. I continue to learn by trying things out.

I have fallen in love with fair isle , Norwegian, ganseys and mittens with patterns. Knitting is so much more interesting when following a color pattern.

I think I finally have the Ingeborg sleeve worked out in my mind and it should go fairly smoothly now.

This is a cold dreary looking day, supposed to rain but has done so yet. I have been spinning some white silk and merino today and adding beads. It is pretty and should be nice for a scarf.

The body of my Dale sweater is finished. I loved knitting this. Now I am working on the first sleeve.

I am also working on a pair of mittens, socks and a shawl. It is bothering me a little that I can't decide which to work on since I love them all. I am also spinning some Finn and adding beads as I go. The beads look a little big as I work on it so I am anxious to see how it looks when plied.

Riley is at the beauty parlor today getting bathed. It is quiet around here with no little shadow following me around.

Wow. I got a button on here.

I love knitting this Dale sweater, Ingeborg, and will post a picture soon.

I have been working on a sock tonight. So many projects calling out to be finished have me not knowing which one to pick up. Think I will go work on a shawl.
