Houses for rent to bluebirds. Wrens accepted.
Both houses hand built by DS David.
My beaded yarn is finished. Now to wind off the last bobbin and see how much there is.

Horcrux socks in progress. This is my new favorite sock yarn, Apple Laine's sock yarn, color Best Friends. The yarn has enough mohair to have a little bloom and it is beautiful. This pattern is really nice too. Interesting to knit but not difficult.

I had a doctor's visit this morning and got a cortisone shot. Hoping it helps me get through a week at the folk school without too much pain.

David is coming today. He is still in the process of moving back to Texas.

Roving that came in the mail yesterday. It is dyed by pippikneesocks. The one on the left with purple, blue, yellow and green is called Duval St. The one on the right with brown, green, yellow and blue is called Spring Time Choco Bird. I will be spinning these as soon as I finish the merino/silk with beads.
Today I need to go buy a large container to repot my Norfolk Island Pine. It has gotten rather large and does not look healthy. I'm sure it is terribly potbound. We keep it on the back porch and decorate it with little colored balls at Christmas time.
We just painted our bedroom yellow and I love it. It is cheerful and happy looking. The bedspread and shams are blue and I used blue and yellow accents.

Saturday sky and Rome Clock Tower.

Another beautiful spring day. Now the mock orange is blooming and the pollen is not so bad.

Yesterday I plied another 310 yards of merino/silk yarn with beads. I still have about 4 ounces left to spin and then I can decide which shawl to make.

April socks. I felt like making my own stripes so I used Socks that Rock yarn with bright blue alpaca and grey Regia. They fit well.

Today is income tax day. But it is also my birthday. I just can't believe I am 68. Just yesterday I had four little boys to bring joy to my life and now they are all grown up. We have had a quiet day at home. I have done a little spinning and a little knitting on a sock.

Yesterday was our knit group meeting. Only Paula, Nacole, April and I were there. Jillian came by for a few minutes with her family. Oh, and Phillip was there, April's new baby. He is beautiful.

Saturday Sky. It is supposed to storm but has not so far. This azalea is a big one by the back porch.
I worked on adding beads as I spun yesterday and finished up the napkins for Jacob and Charley Grace.

Last night I finished the first sleeve for my Dale of Norway Ingeborg. It took as long to make that sleeve as it did to make the whole body of the sweater. Guess I am having too many senior moments. Maybe the second sleeve will be easier since I have done it once already.

I am making more napkins for Jacob and Charley Grace. The first ones for Jacob were a hit and Charley Grace wants her own. I have a fabric stash large enough to make all they could ever want since I used to make quilts.

Last Saturday's sky. I have been trying to add this since Sat. and it would not work so here it is.

We had a quiet Easter with just Mother here. I knit a few rows on a baby blanket. And I add a few rows to the Dale sleeve just about every day. Just thinking about what to make and playing with the yarn is sometimes as much fun as actually knitting, except you don't end up with anything.

The first rose from our garden this year.

I had a couple of other pictures to post but for some reason this is the only one that will publish.

I have been spinning more than knitting lately. This is merino and silk. I added beads to the first single, then spun a plain single and then plied them. I have more of the roving and have ordered more beads to finish the rest and hope to have enough for a shawl.

It is cold today after being hot enough to run the air conditioning. Today the heat is on.
